MPAN Breakdown

The Supply Number or MPAN number is a 21 digit number which should be displayed on your electricity bill by your current supplier. The usual display is shown above but sometimes it is displayed on one line as opposed to two

This Supply Number is UNIQUE to your metered electricity supply

 

MPAN Example

Entering Your Meter Reading

1. The Dial Meter Reading.

Record the number the pointer has just passed, for example, the dials shown to the right would have the number, 52684 (five, two, six, eight, four).

2. The Digital Display

Record the numbers in the Rate 1 boxes provided

Single Rate or Low/ Rate 1 Readings 1 3 4 2 1
   

3. A flashing or a changing digital display

Record the numbers in the boxes provided and the rate for each reading displayed on the meter. You may need to press a black button on the meter front to change the display to show the ‘Rate 2’ reading
